There are three router models in the Ultrix family: ULTRIX-FR1(-NS), ULTRIX-FR2(-NS), and ULTRIX-FR5. All
routers fit into the standard 19” rack. This chapter presents information on the Ultrix front and rear panels.
The ULTRIX-FR1-NS and ULTRIX-FR2-NS have updated frame components to allow the support of more
advanced IO modules such as ULTRIX-IP. The ULTRIX-FR1-NS and ULTRIX-FR2-NS may be identified by
the blue dot above the i on the front panel Ultrix logo.
