Fiber Only XCU Base Station
The Grass Valley XCU 3G Fiber Elite is a rack-mounted camera control unit designed for high-end live broadcast production. It operates as the base station for LDX series camera heads when connected over hybrid fiber. The unit consolidates camera power, video transport, control signals, intercom, and audio into a single streamlined connection, making it suitable for large venues and long-distance setups. Its exchangeable cradle design allows the electronics to be quickly swapped while leaving all cabling intact, minimizing downtime in busy production environments. The Elite version is focused on HD broadcast standards and provides a reliable interface between the camera chain and production infrastructure in studios, trucks, and arenas.
